The Liebster Award

Hello!

Woke up this morning to find that the lovely Valeria from Gilded Butterflies had nominated me for a Liebster award. So a very big thank you to her for nominating me, it means a lot, especially because I'm a brand new blogger!

So this is the Liebster award, and it's basically for brand new bloggers, so someone is always being tagged, like a sort of chain.

Here are the rules:
1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
2.Answer the 11 questions the person that tagged you left for you.
3.Create 11 new questions for the people your going to nominate.

So, lets start with the random facts.

1. I'm 5 ft 7 and am always one of the tallest girls, a boy in my class calls me the BFG, which btw is NOT funny!
2.I'm half dutch, my mum speaks it to me like your mum speaks English to you.
3. I've had a lot of failing blogs before, but I feel like this blog is the ONE.
4.I once found a rabbit skull in my school playground and hid it in the girl's loo's.
5.I have a soft spot for Hollister, (i'm so sorry!)
6.I have a younger brother.
7.When I was 7 I swear I saw the tooth fairy, except now I think it was probably a fly.
8.My first visit to London was when I was 2 months old, I now go more than 6 times a year and am planning to go to university there to study Fashion Journalism.
9.I own a tractor,it's mine! And we also have a yellow VW camper.
10. I love collages, my whole wall is a collage and it's great because when you go off someone you cna just stick something/someone else over them.
11.I have a mole on the palm of each hand, yeah on my palm!

Now to the questions..

1. When's your birthday?
The 5th of April.

2. What's your biggest dream?
To become a fashion journalist, I'm not one of those girls who wanted to be a princess or a doctor or always changed her mind. I want to be a Fashion Journalist and i'm determined to make it happen.

3. Your perfect afternoon consists of?
Walking through the streets of Brick Lane with a vintage camera and a nice proper cup of tea in my hand.

4.Your most cherished memory?
It's really sad but I have no clue! I have some, but not really exciting ones that I'll remember for the rest of my life!

5.What's your favourite movie?
Aaah! This is slightly easier! I have two, Roman Holiday, with Audrey Hepburn. She's just so lovely and sweet and you'll fall in love with her once you've seen this. And The Time Traveller's Wife. Makes me sob every single time but it's worth watching. It's very complicated but so romantic and funny and..and..and just aaaahhh.

6. What's your quirkiest habit?
This is slightly disgusting ( but aren't all habits?) but every time I eat crisps or peanuts I have to pick the food out of my teeth, i'm so sorry that's awful! My other one is that I can't go outside without having polished toes. Seeing my toes without nail polish freaks me out, I'm naked without it.

7. Do you have any lucky charms?
I have a tiny little soft toy, a sleeping doll, which my mum made and whenever i'm worried or can't sleep I just sit it by my pillow! I'm such a child. I also have a ring which my Nanna gave to me and it's really special and has little flowers engraved into it!

8. What makes you feel happy above anything else?
Having a good laugh with friends and feeling that they're always there for you. It's really vain, but I also love getting a compliment. I'm not the most confident of people so when I get a compliment it makes me feel really good about myself.

9. How would describe yourself in 3 words?
Shy, Funny and Weird.

10. Do you have a favourite word?
Quintessential. I first saw it in Vogue and I love how you can add it with anything. Quintessentially British. Quintessentially Chanel. Quintessentially Vintage. I love it!

11. Do you collect anything?
I keep everything I can in a big vintage suitcase. Train tickets, postcards, receipts, letters, party invites. I want to keep them forever!

Bonjour! OOTD #1

Hello!

Writing this from my little Vintage room in France. We're meant to be at a cute second hand market, but since the losers I call my family didn't think to check if it was actually on we're stuck at home after driving through French countryside for the best part of 2 hours. So, instead of sitting on my bum all day reading blogs, I decided to go out and do my first ever outfit post. My brother couldn't be bothered to help his big sister do a photoshoot, so I had to use self timer. That's why my face looks blurry and the lighting is slightly strange in a few of them, sorry!

Week In Photos #1

Hello! As you can tell from the photo above, I haven't been posting due to many reasons. Number one being that I re-updated my laptop and it died on me and wiped everything from it. Number two was that my mother, being the kind woman she is, wouldn't let me pop onto her laptop just to check my facebook,email,etc. I've also been bombed with homework, 6 hour long projects, yuck. So sorry for neglecting you guys!

New Favourite Thing: Panda Gloves!

Hello!

Possibbly every single girl I know between the ages of 12 and 19 owns a panda hat, so when I saw these matching set cuties in Tesco today I knew I had to get them. I´m proud to say that I do own a panda hat and the gloves and hat look perfect together, so i´m v.v.v. pleased! They were only a fiver which, for me, was a bonus.
 Plus they´re really soft and pretty and cute!

I apologise for my strange faces, I couldn´t resist, and you don´t expect me to make serious faces when I have animals on my gloves do you!

Eos and Baby Lips Review

Hello!

I've been wanting to post about this for so long, even before I started this blog, but as the lovely lady who bought these for me was in America, I couldn't do it. Anyway, I've seen a lot of blogger's raving about the new Balmi lip balms, so was very excited when my Eos lip balm came, because, in my mind, it's the posher version which is annoyingly only available in the US! I know Sophie from Sophie Said loves the Balmi balms, so I think her especially will love this!

First things first: the shape. The shape is basically what the Eos lip balms are all about. I never realised before until I got an Eos balm, that the Balmi's shape and lid is really cheap compared to the Eos ones. The inside cover has a plastic half sphere which fits the balm however you screw it on. You could screw it on really lazily and the balm wouldn't be harmed! This I especially love. I also love the cute sound it makes when it clicks into place!

Secondly: the flavour & coverage. At first I hated the flavour ( summer fruits), but now I've got used to it and am constantly finding myself licking my lips! It's really fruity and tropical and generally yummy. The coverage is one downside of the product, you do have to really apply quite a lot for it to feel properly covered, but once you're 'covered' you don't have to apply anymore for a few hours. I often have very dry lips during the Autumn/ Winter as i'm sure everyone does, and this is just perfect to prop up on your bedside table, or just in your handbag/schoolbag! I propped mine up on my school desk the other day and got quite a few strange looks. A girl said to me "What the hell is that?"and her face lit up when I unscrewed the lid and showed her it was lip balm!

Now for my other present from the US, a Maybelline Baby Lips balm. I was constantly seeing these in Teen Vogue and looked them up online, I then saw they were only available in the US. So I asked my neighbour to pick me up some as she's an air hostess. I personally think Maybelline should make these available in the UK too as i'm sure they'd sell!
Firstly: the packaging. I really love this packaging. It's girly and clean and professional all at the same time. Plus it comes in all the different colours to match each flavour. So for this flavour, Pink Punch, its hot pink and yellow.

Secondly: the flavour and colour. I really generally love this flavour. It's simple and yummy and matches the girly colour. When you look at the colour you'd think that its way too bright and something your gran might wear, but it''s not! It's a sort of pale pinky colour which you can get away with for school! Plus, unlike the Eos balm, just one swipe gives you full coverage, which I'm very pleased with.

Overall, I really love both these balms, but am dissappointed you can't get them here in the UK, as I know I'd be a top customer!

Haii.

I never really know how to do these sorts of post. I'm not really into introducing myself and all that lark, it's just really not me. But what I will happily do is introduce my blog.

I've had quite a few blogs before, but as you can tell from the fact that I'm writing this, they didn't turn out particularly well! But after having those blogs I've learnt so much and have been given so much friendly advice that I thought I should use that advice and start completely afresh. Anyway, my name's Imogen, some of you may have read my blogs before, so may be surprised to see my style of writing and how well I've handled the graphics and co. But this is just going to be my fun blog. I used to find blogging a chore and used to do it because I felt I had to, but with this I feel like my posts are full of much more exciting content that make you guys want to come back ( hopefully!) This blog is basically going to be my place to express my love of fashion and where I'll test out my new found love for photography and like all girls, pretty stuff!
